Oodle Pups Purchase Agreement

As part of purchasing a puppy from Oodle Pups, there are a few formalities we need to take care of. 

To own a puppy from Oodle Pups, the below AGREEMENT between Oodle Pups Pty Ltd – Breeder Registration Number BIN0012323963852 (BREEDER) and you, the purchaser (BUYER).

Breeder’s Responsibility

The BREEDER guarantees that the PUPPY is in good health, has been health checked by a registered veterinarian; has up-to-date, age appropriate immunisations; has been microchipped and is dewormed at the time the BUYER takes possession.

Buyer’s Responsibility

  1. The BUYER agrees to pay the BREEDER the agreed total sum, inclusive of any paid deposit and exclusive of any transport-related costs for the purchase of the PUPPY. After the PUPPY leaves the BREEDER, the risk of loss or injury to the animal is on the BUYER at all times.
  2. Payment of the deposit invoice is acceptance of this agreement.
  3. The BUYER agrees that the BUYER’s purchase of the PUPPY shall be for the SOLE PURPOSE of acquiring a pet dog and that the BUYER shall NOT use the PUPPY for breeding purposes.
  4. The BUYER agrees to desex the PUPPY between 6 and 12 months of age or as advised by a registered veterinarian.
  5. The BUYER agrees that the PUPPY new home is safe and gives assurance that both the home’s inside and outside living environments are free from plants and herbicides which are known to be toxic to dogs.
  6. The BUYER agrees to feed the PUPPY quality food and to keep the PUPPY at a healthy weight as advised by the veterinarian.
  7. The BUYER agrees to discourage the PUPPY from jumping and climbing excessively during early growth periods as advised by the veterinarian and postpone strenuous, repetitive exercise until after the PUPPY is over one year of age in order to assist in the soundness and longevity of the PUPPY.
  8. The BUYER acknowledges that a PUPPY being overweight and/or excessively exercised, especially during early growth periods are known causal/contributing factors to the crippling and painful condition of Hip and Elbow Dysplasia and the BUYER agrees to follow preventative guidelines.
  9. The BUYER agrees to make and keep annual veterinary appointments, keep all immunisations current according to the guidelines of the Australian Veterinarian Association, and properly administer heartworm preventative medication.
  10. The BUYER agrees to provide basic obedience training with the PUPPY within the first three months of ownership.
  11. The BUYER agrees to contact the BREEDER immediately if the BUYER determines they cannot keep the PUPPY for any reason.
  12. The BUYER agrees never to place the PUPPY in a shelter, pound or similar facility or research laboratory.
